    From Log to Spoon

A customer brought me a log from a crabapple tree they had cut down on their property. They wanted some special items made from it to remember the tree. After a period of air drying the wood I set to work making a number of utensils. I let the feel of the hand guide the development of the form. The colors and markings in the wood really made for some wonderful pieces.
