    Woodworkers Blogs: Anthony Hay's Cabinetmaker

Here is a great new blog for those of you interested in woodworking history. The Anthony Hay's Shop at Colonial Williamsburg is dedicated to the exploration and execution of the cabinetmaker’s trade as was practiced in late colonial Virginia.  The shop featured in this blog employs only the tools, techniques, and materials (when possible) available to their 18th century counterparts.  Following in the footsteps of the historical Hay shop, the blog also explores the trades of carving and harpsichord making.

The site gives many insights in to the world of the 18th century woodworker as well as providing lots of information and ideas for the hand tool woodworker. Well worth a look.
